“Have fun storming the castle!”
…Lol…Joel texted this to me just before teaching my first workshop…That’s right, you heard it, I taught a workshop yesterday. I know! Right? Me…teaching?
I have to say it was pretty fun, very educational experience for never having taught before. 7 great students eager to hear what I had to say about mixed media application for 3 hours. I did some demonstrations showing some mixed media combinations, worked one on one where I could. I think it was 3 hours with sooo much information that it could be broken up into different classes.
Lovely students made the day just fly by. Some wanted to look at the studio I was residing in at the entrance. And a few bought some work! Wow. The highest compliment really is for someone to buy your work. It’s like a piece of you is going to live with them. Thank you…you know who you are.
Joel and Gabe took me out to dinner to celebrate at a Eldr-Rime in Tosa. Lovely salmon, wine and some fancy apps. Hmmm.
I have to stop writing now and hit the road. I have to get stuff done in Cedarburg today, then back home to pack. We are going up north for some much needed r&r.
Take care of yourselves out there.
